Whooper Swans
Juveniles landing on ice

A pair of juvenile Whooper Swans (also known as Cygnets) landing on the largest frozen crater lake in Japan, Lake Kussharo.

The seemingly unskilled landings of these young ones made me laugh as one almost crashed onto another. Thankfully, both of them managed to land safely without causing an airway traffic jam as other swans are preparing to land after them.
