Little Spiderhunter
Feeding on nectar

BORNEO WILDLIFE SUPERCHARGED WITH NIKON D500 BY C.S.LING

I had a really fun time photographing this Little Spiderhunter at the ginger plant next to the place I was staying at. Whenever it was about to fly to the flower, it will make a series of rapid chipping notes, land on the flower, take a few dip into the nectar with it’s long curved bill and within seconds flew off. In this shot, I was able to capture its tongue and the drops of nectar that fell from its bill.

The 20.9MP Nikon D500 features the same 153-point AF system and EXPEED 5 processor as the D5.
